Expressing quantitative values objectively

While we have more confidence than ever in our mirror polishing technology, we were unable to express the precision of our work as objective numerical values.
In order to communicate simply to customers that our grinding precision meets their requirements, we have introduced non-contact 3D surface roughness/shape measuring equipment that allows us to provide quantitative values.

Analysis and measurement of samples

Using the non-contact 3D surface roughness/shape measuring equipment adopted by our company, we can now display measurement results after polishing as visible quantitative values, guaranteeing that the finish meets the customer’s request. Adoption of KOACH open clean system
The mirror finishing that we perform demands precision so high that fine particles of dust can affect the finish.
Fine particles generated during work, even those only several microns in size, can result in scratching. Such particles and dust have long been called the enemies of the polishing shop.
Once scratching occurs, the entire machined surface needs to be polished again. High-level mirror finishing calls for nerve-wracking work until completion of the job.
To meet the high demands of our customers, Imai Gikou has adopted the KOACH open clean system. This uses airflows to achieve a clean space without enclosing the area, allowing fine work without delays. The adoption of KOACH allows us to achieve finishing with the highest level of precision.
#Clean room work for fineness of #8000 and higher
To meet the needs of our customers, Imai Gikou is able to perform mirror finishing of up to #240000. When a finish of #8000 or higher is required, we perform the work in the clean room set up in our company. In addition to the high skills of our artisans, our close attention to the work environment allows us to achieve finishing work that we can deliver with confidence.
In order to maximize the skill of our craftsmen and solidly meet the needs of all of our customers, we will achieve finishing with the industry’s highest level of precision, under a continued commitment to tools and environment preparation suited to grinding work.

Imai Gikou is absolutely confident in the ability of our mirror-polishing technology to guarantee precision. In the area of polishing, we have adopted a clean system and work to maintain and improve grinding accuracy through organization of the working environment. We have adopted in-house measuring instruments so that we can provide evaluations in visual form after polishing, enhancing our polishing precision and adding absolute reliability based on quantitative values. Because of this preparation of our work environment and the adoption of inspection equipment, Imai Gikou was able to acquire ISO 9001 certification.
As a pioneering polishing shop holding ISO 9001 certification, we will continue our unceasing devotion to offering higher value-added technology.
